The U.S Cattle Ranching in Facts

Beef cattle ranching has been around in the United States since the beginning. Today there are more than 700,000 cattle farms, ranches, and feed yards. Those 700,000 ranches take up 27% of U.S. land. As long as cattle ranching has been around, it has been a family-owned operation, but as the times change, these family-owned ranches are beginning to decrease. Today only 58% have remained in the same family for three or more generations; however, 90% are still family-owned.
